Loads to write about tonight (apart from preparing an actual radio show!) so let’s get cracking…

Last night was the first night of the new show and possibly the most gloriously fulfilling experience I’ve ever had on the radio. Started with Ride by The Vines and never looked back; Dylan, Lemon Jelly, Goldie Lookin Chain, The Who, The Streets, Hard-Fi, The Go! Team, Jeff Buckley, The Chalets…. Pure bliss…. :-))))))))))))))

Talked a load off crap, people were lovely, mates and workmates texted, even my Dad liked it! Found myself writing in my notebook at the breakfast table this morning – that is a little worrying… Big up to Producer Penny for so much hard work.

For Declan who asked in the comments to the last post if the radio show is archived anywhere sadly no. It’s not important enough by half 🙂 It is streamed on the 2FM website HERE between 10 and midnight Monday to Thursday, you can get it on Channel 914 on Sky and goes out here on RTE 2FM – one of the services of Ireland’s (glorious!) national broadcaster RTE…

Found out that Untitled didn’t get shortlisted for a radio award this year and to be fair it’s not an award winning kind of show. Won’t have to stay sober in case I had to make a speech now 🙂

One text above all last night spelled it out for me – “Welcome home” and to be honest that’s exactly what it felt like for the first time; home.

PS On the Fanning show tomorrow night at 6 with my mate Amanda talking about TV Cream – The Book (yay!) and TV shows I’d like to bring back. It’s always been some of the most fun being a guest with Dave and one of the things I genuinely missed when I was on earlys 🙂

PPS Most EVER visitors to the blog since the show last night! I am easily pleased…
