The missing phrase is “Let’s face it, if the mothers ruled the world, there would be no goddamned wars in the first place.” Fairly innocuous, no? They also edited out Katherine Heigl mouthing the word “shit” when she realised she’d won her award and removed the word “screwing” from Ray Romano’s monologue.

Hellooooooo, it’s FOX. And it’s America. We don’t talk smack about any of that! Luckily, I saw it live on E!, so no editing there :-). Surprised they didn’t edit out the support of the writers in Hollywood, which were all over the place…
