One thing that drew my attention – when Jim Jones was looking for somewhere to relocate in the late 60s he saw this frontpage article about 9 places in the world to hide in the event of nuclear war and picked one of them, Northern California, to set up the Peoples Temple. Before San Francisco, before Guyana.
