A Very Ordinary Wednesday…

So, bit of time to kill before I go and see that new Russian sci-fi movie Night Watch in the IFI… Love going there, was there the very first week it opened to see Waterland with Jeremy Irons and Sandra Bernhardt’s Without You I’m Nothing.. Used to spend a lot of time in the cinema before work got in the way 🙂

Got a mail from my mate Glenn who works there last week to tell me they’re showing a restored print of the original 1955 Godzilla next month!! Very, very excited…. I have a collection of US Godzilla DVDs ranging from the 60s classics like Destroy All Monsters right up to the last couple of years (have a particular soft spot for Godzilla Vs Spacegodzilla) and “my son” ostensibly owns a stash of Japanese import action figures of the Big G, King Ghidorah, Rodan, Anguirus and many, many more… More fun there is not to be had than from men in rubber suits destroying major world cities…

Just got time to download my piccie from the Podge & Rodge shoot today at a very secret and swanky location in the heart of Dublin… Little did I know all those years ago when I was cowering behind the couch at home when Podge would creepily appear on The Den (and let us not forget that I was in college at the time) that I’d be asked to comment on their importance in Irish society…

My beautiful and fantastic partner (she still doesn’t read here so I can say what i like) sent me this today:

My wallet and arteries are screaming in protest already…

New book too:

A really interesting start…
