I’ll readily admit that I don’t watch Lost. I just didn’t get it in the early days although it’s very much the sort of thing I would usually be into…
Amanda beats me up every time I shrug my shoulders and say “meh”.
I did love Cloverfield though and JJ Abrams, the man behind them all (and the upcoming Star Trek reinvention of course) is a great public speaker and has a lot of interesting things to say about the subject of mystery…

There’s a lot of great and funny speakers at TED. ‘Tis worth checking it out.
Also, there’s some singing…kinda.
Tell Amanda she’s got great taste š
the TED awards is what started me on my current anti poverty pathway; three years ago i found Bono’s TED award acceptance speech and it blew me away. Blew away my cynicism towards the rest of the human race too. Its been one wild ride since then.
I keep thinking I should be watching Lost, but then I realise I couldn’t be arsed.
TED has always been brilliant. My favourite one is ZeFrank’s from a few years back, which didn’t really manage to deal with any “issues”, but was f**kin’ hilarious. Watch it, it’s only 20 minutes long:
