Introducing: Planetlove Summer Session – Part One!
Irish clubbing brand Planetlove has joined forces with the 2FM Sessions Tour to create Ireland’s first homegrown dance music festival Planetlove Summer Session.*
The event, which is being held in association with 2FM and the Daily Star, will take place on Saturday 8th September at the Fairyhouse Racecourse, Rathoath, Co Meath.
Its Northern Irish counterpart, Planetlove, in association with BBC Radio One, will be held that same day at Shane’s Castle, County Antrim – making music-scene history here in Ireland as the first festival to take place simultaneously both sides of the border!
The world’s most famous and acclaimed dance music stars will perform over 12 hours as part of a 70-strong line up on 6 stages at the *Planetlove Summer Session.
Many of these artistes will play both festivals and will be transported between Rathoath and Antrim by a fleet of helicopters.
Ireland’s electronic music scene has never witnessed anything like it!
And what a line up is in store!
Among the stars lined up for the Fairyhouse show is world favourite DJ Armin Van Buuren, No.1 chart topper and dance music’s man of the moment Fedde Le Grand (‘Put Your Hands Up for Detroit’), techno ace Ben Simms, Big Brother winner Kate Lawler, Lisa Lashes, old skool heroes N-Joi (‘Anthem’) and Dutch DJing legend Ferry Corsten and many others/
2FM will be broadcasting live across Ireland from the event, and across the world via internet, while up North, BBC Radio One will be broadcasting live across the UK, and again – via internet – the world from Planetlove north.
This means that the festivals will have a combined potential audience of 18 million people on September 8th!
The festival which is subject to licence will feature fully licensed bars, a fully loaded funfair, stalls, foodbars and many other festival attractions.
Doors open 1pm til late.

Eat and drink sensibly, respect neighbours property and privacy, familiarise yourself with the site, and elect a meeting point should you become separated from your friends. Be nice, obey the law, but above all have fun!

Planetlove Summer Session standard tickets and VIP tickets go on sale from Ticketmaster outlets (phone 0818 719 300 from ROI) across Southern Ireland and Northern Ireland on Saturday 9th June priced only €69.95 (standard) and €99.95 (VIP).
Festival transport information:
Fairyhouse Racecourse is located on the N3 main road out of Dublin and is only a 20 min drive from Dublin’s city centre or 5 minutes from the Blanchardstown/N3 off-ramp on the M50.
Dublin Bus will be providing a return bus service all day on Sept 8th from Dublin ‘s City Centre at Parnell Square .
Free and secure car and coach parking will be provided within Fairyhouse for patrons travelling by car or private coach.
