Post-postsecret….

Is there any greater pleasure than buying a new book? ™ πŸ™‚

Promised myself after Christmas that I wasn’t buying any more books til I’d made a serious dent in the helf of unread and unloves ones in the sitting room but how long did that last….? πŸ™‚

Not very when I saw that Frank Warren’s Postsecret was on sale for half price in Borders. I spoke to Frank a few months ago on the show and his wonderful warmth and story and the subsequent texts we got from you are among the highlights of the show… If you’ve never seen his blog – click above; it’s one of the most affecting places on the internet…

The book of collected postcards is as good as I remember it…

I also whipped through what was an impule purchase at best but one I’m so glad I made; Paul Arden’s Whatever You Think, Think The Opposite. He’s a former creative director with Saatchi & Saatchi and the book is part philosophical treatise, part photo book, part design project, part good old fashioned common sense. It was a brain opener…

I know it’s gone from a trickle to a torrent here but no complaining, eh?

  1. Isn’t the postsecret blog one of the most wonderful places in blog world! I just love it, love it, love it – didn’t even occur to me to read the book…must break my own new year resolutions (similar to your own) and go out and buy…

  2. As a compulsive book buyer who reads most of his purchases can I recommend you read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak – best book I have read in a LONG LONG time.

So good I wanted to start reading it all over again but I had to lend it to a friend to read first I was so excited about it and wanted someone else to talk to about it!
