Briliant!

I missed that Strumpet City has been picked as 1 City 1 Book for 2013. It’s particularly apt as it’s the 100th anniversary of the 1913 lockout (one of the central periods in the book).

It is my favourite Irish book of all time.

You really should read it. Found it hard to find an image of the battered old edition I own, but the web is wonderful for that kind of thing…
