From the outset here let me lay my cards on the table… I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the zoo. Always have, always will. Yes, I went through the conscience-pricking “but animals shouldn’t be in captivity, it’s cruel and unnecessa…zzzzzzzzz” phase when I was in college but I still went and after all they’re doing some great work in conservation with endangered species these days and they let me get into the enclosures and feed the animals a while back!!!

My kids love it there too so went on Saturday and took a few shots while I was strolling around in the sun… Maybe not your normal touristy ones but my favourite places and bits.

Have always loved the architecture of the older buildings there…
