I had just gotten to work on the 14th floor of a high rise in Chicago. My mum rang me from Waterford telling me to go home. They evacuated the entire building. Looking out the window, i saw a queue down the road and around the corner for Hertz rent-a-car. Mostly i was afraid for my best friend who flys for United. It took me hours to track him down.
Was just sitting down to lunch and flicking around on TV. Anthony Murnane interrupted whatever was on RTE at that time and reported it. Saw the second plane hit live. Completely surreal and horrifying.
