Actually, speaking about perspective, the further the week has gone along and the more apparent the suffering of the poorest 10% of New Orleans’ population has become (it’s always the poor and elderly who are left behind in situations like this – my seven year old actually asked today when watching continuing footage of the worst affected people “Daddy, why is everyone in America Black….?” From the mouth of babes…..) the easier it’s been to deal with my own small personal speed bump.
