The kindness of strangers…

Had originally intended this to be a few entries on different stuff but Ruth’s just texted me to tell me how terrifying and great “Lost” the new series on RTE Two is so might try to check out the first bit of it I’ve recorded on my Sky+ box before I fall into a coma for tonight…

Weekend was great – saw Sideways; really liked it, very funny and touching but not as good as the book… Ended up buying a good bottle of Pinot Noir on Saturday night to drink while watching the Eurovision and scoffing a selection of cheeses and damn fine it was too!!! Might get into this whole wine thing…

The PSP still continues to excite me – haven’t even unwrapped Tiger Woods PGA Tour or NFL Street 2 Unleashed as I’m still trying to upgrade my (relatively!) crappy VW in Need For Speed Underground Rivals. It is a GORGEOUS piece of kit – get is the queue for Sept 1st.

And a note to warm even the coldest heart to finish off on. Went for lunch today with my lovely other half and our two little ones in Clane (a few miles from where we live in Kildare) and it was raining when we got there so I grabbed my youngest from the car seat and barrelled into the restaurant leaving the other two to take up the rear. 2 hours later we came out after eating and doing a bit of grocery shopping afterwards only to find that I’d left the back car door open. Not just ajar mind you but swinging wide open on its hinges.

Yes, I know that on the basis of this alone I could be elected president of the muppets but bear with me… The contents of the car were completely untouched in a secluded part of an otherwise busy carpark. Imagine that happening in any of the major urban centres in our fair land? Probably not… It really is another world out here…
